Very Rev. Fr. Peter Artiken is a priest of the diocese of Wewek. He was born on the 21st of July 1962. He was ordained a priest on September 9, 1991. He became a staff of Holy Spirit Seminary in 2000, as spiritual director until 2002 when he left for studies at the Angelicum in Rome. at the completion of his studies he returned to PNG and back to the Seminary in 2004. He was the Vice-Rector from that very year (2004) till 2007. From 2007 to 2008, he was the substitute Rector of the same Seminary. Fr. Peter was appointed Rector Magnificus of the Seminary by Ivan Cardinal Dias (Prefect for the Congregation of the Evangelization of Peoples)on the 18th of June 2008, which he still serves at the present.
